Older women donate food to Mary Mac's Place

The Older Women's Network Deepwater has responded to a call for food donations to Mary Mac's Place in Woy Woy.

The food will be used to provide hampers to the hungry, homeless and destitute on the Peninsula, said Network secretary Ms Jennifer Brown.

Mary Mac's Place project officer Ms Sally Baker said her service had experienced an enormous rise in demand for food.

Ms Brown and fellow executive member Ms Sybil Ker delivered more than $500 worth of groceries to replenish the pantry at Mary Mac's.

The Older Women's Network plans to provide regular pantry top-ups throughout the year.
